The Food Network Delicious Food Show

This blog has been a long time coming and I contemplated for weeks trying to pick a recipe for the opening post. Thankfully, as it turns out, I didn’t have to put any recipe under the enormous pressure of debuting.

The Delicious Food Show took place at Exhibition Place in Toronto last weekend, and I was beyond ecstatic to go. They had sessions spanned out over four days but I was only able to go for Sunday (kicking myself for missing out on Chef McEwan on Thursday). Now I’m not sure if going a different day would’ve changed things, but I was done after less than 2 hours. Even though it didn’t live up to my expectations, it was still a fun afternoon. Here’s some shares from the day!

Celebrity chef sightings: David Rocco & Bal Arneson
A wall of pepper mills O_O
Macarons from Moroco. Decided on the coconut one and I must say, best macaron I've ever had.
A chocolate carousel!
Was feeling rather French for lunch and this grilled pear & cheese sandwich with onion soup from La Sociètè definitely hit the spot. P.S: How awesome are these tables?!

It was SO good! That tiny plate cost me $14 but it was worth it! This is the place: http://lasociete.ca/

I believe it was either Beaufort or Gruyère.

Weebs, the macarons look delectable! Maybe you can put up a recipe for those someday- would love to try them! I’ve heard they’re a bit tricky..

(better yet, maybe we can bake them together sometime?!)

    PS. LOVING the blog!
